Tipped off by a friend who likes to tip-over a cocktail or two [and whom I consider worthy of listening to] sent us to Pegu Club for the ‘Earl Grey MarTEAni’. OMG. Pure brilliance goes into this drink. At $14.00 it is certainly a New York cocktail, but it delivers in flavor and creativity. It consists of Earl Grey infused Gin, lemon juice and egg whites. Simple, clean, refreshing = perfection. Drop into the Pegu Club [located on the 2nd floor - 77 W. Houston St] and try one out. We also enjoyed other libations on offer including the Pear & Rosemary Martini and the French Pearl – both Gin based.
