Napoleon House, after a great deal of Pimm’s Cup sampling throughout New Orleans was a stand-out winner for making the best Pimm’s Cup in town. They know how to keep it refreshing without being sweet. And who could resist sipping a cocktail in the surrounds of this character filled location, listening to classical music to help calm the soul after experiencing Bourbon Street. The building dates back to 1812 when it was erected as a refined residence for the Mayor – Nicholas Girod. It’s name derives from the story that the house was offered to Napoleon in 1821 as a refuge during his exile. It spent sometime as a Grocery Store & cafe when taken over by the current family in 1914.
