We are so excited to have found our beautiful furball. We were not really looking for a puppy, but we rescued a 6 month, 40 pound, what we think is – a german short-haired pointer mix with possibly a lab? He came all the way from Oklahoma to Paws Chicago. His Paws name was Joshito, his new name is Bansky. He arrived into Paws on Feb 18th and we scooped him up on Feb 20th come the weekend we believe he would have been a ‘hot’ item. We feel very fortunate in finding him and he was worth the wait.

He is making himself at home, and everyday more and more of his personality comes out. We love him to pieces. He came to us very well-mannered for a 6 month old puppy: house trained; can sit; understands ‘no’; and is good on a leash; he is however having a hard time mastering stairs, especially open stairs – these tend to terrify him.

If you are in Chicago and looking to adopt a Cat or Dog, please visit Paws Chicago. They are the city’s largest no-kill humane organization, and for every cat or dog that is adopted, essentially two lives are saved, the one you saved by adopting, and for making way for other life in their shelter.

Awwww I love Banksy! He’s adorable and rescues are the BEST! I found my Lucky dog at the shelter about 6 years ago – she was 7 yrs old at the time and was already housebroken and trained. She’s a mix too – I think that gives them better personality :) good luck with Banksy!
