We set out early on a Sunday morning from Hong Kong Island to take the thirty-five minute fast ferry to Cheung Chau for some exploring. We had no expectations or idea as to what we might find once we got off the boat. The Island was a wondrous surprise – filled with adventure and delicious food. It is an active fishing village, and has been since the middle of the 14th century, utilized on weekends by Hong Kong Islanders to escape the hustle & bustle. The charming narrow alleys, the local produce market, and the seafood restaurants lining the sea wall are perfect for getting lost in. I will allow the photographs taken by CBob-Foto to tell the true story for you. It comes highly recommended as a place to visit.
