Public || pump room
Thank-you Ian Schrager for coming to town and creating Public, and re-vamping the historical Chicago institution ‘The Pump Room’. The space is beautiful and timeless, and brings a fresh new idea and look to our handsome city that is bound to inspire many more ‘out-of-the-box’ concepts.
We popped in to the Pump Room to check out the new space and grab some dinner, rather spontaneously one night. We were delighted with our decision and loved being transported to such a glamorous era. The kitchen is guided by world-renowned chef and 2011 James Beard award winner Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The food changes frequently as it is a supporter of farm-to-table dining, if it isn’t in season it isn’t on the menu. Everything that we sampled was fresh and delightful, modern classics of sorts. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and available for pretty much anything in between, we will be stopping by at all hours to sample your offerings.
